Brett Pattillo

Brett’s practice is focused on medical malpractice defense. She provides zealous representation for clients accused of medical malpractice and the litigation of those cases from initial intake through trial.

Brett graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. Her undergraduate degree focused on a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Hispanic Studies. At South Texas College of Law, Brett was a member of the Inns of Court and the South Texas Law Review. She participated in the South Texas College of Law Family Law Clinic, interned at the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston, and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. During her last summer of law school, she interned with Federal Magistrate Judge Lawrence Anderson in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated cum laude from South Texas College of Law in May of 2011.

After law school, Brett moved to Brownsville, Texas, and worked for the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office for over 9 years. At the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office, Brett litigated cases ranging from misdemeanors to capital felonies, ultimately becoming the Chief Felony Prosecutor in the 138th and 103rd Judicial Courts. She also participated in the pro bono family law clinic hosted by the Cameron County Bar Association. She was a member of the Cameron County Bar Association, Texas District and County Attorney’s Association (TDCAA), and was on the board of Tip of Texas Family Outreach, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing parenting education to young mothers.

In 2021, she moved back to the San Antonio area and worked for the 81st Judicial District Attorney’s Office, primarily in Karnes County, Texas. Since June or 2021, she was able to participate in four trials despite the COVID epidemic.
