Lauren C. Howell
Lauren’s practice is focused primarily on commercial and real estate litigation, and defense of legal and medical professionals. She also has experience in labor and employment law and small business and estate planning.
Prior to attending law school, Lauren attended the University of Houston Paralegal Certificate Program. Following graduation from the program with honors, Lauren was a paralegal at two civil litigation firms in Houston and San Antonio. After five years as a paralegal, she knew she wanted to take on a new challenge and go to law school.
Lauren attended St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio and graduated cum laude. She was the Managing Executive Editor of the St. Mary’s Law Journal, President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund chapter, officer in multiple campus organizations, and worked as a teaching and research assistant for three professors. Additionally, she had the pleasure of interning with Valero Energy Corporation, Davis Cedillo & Mendoza, the Honorable Craig Gargotta, and Teamwork Financial. She gave her time to the pro bono program, as a student assistant on TexasLawHelp.org, and drafted Supported Decision Making Agreements for teenagers with disabilities at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid.
